The first SHIELD conference took place on the 3rd of October 2019.
SHIELD has been online since September 2018 and for this reason the platform was revised.
During the conference, the new website was launched and the start of the second stage of SHIELD introduced. This second stage is oriented to provide specific trainings on radicalization, terrorism and the recognition of suspicious situations.
The conference was set up to strengthen the connection and interchange between the private and public sector.
We welcomed Mr. Paul Van Tigchelt (CUTA), Prof. Dr. Marc Cools (VUB), Mr. Stephan Van Hauwe (AWDC) and NYPD SHIELD Sergeants Thomas Boyle and Maureen Keag.
